Belton School District 124

About Belton School District 124

The mission of the Belton School District, as a proud reflection of our community, is to inspire and empower all students to reach individual potential by providing learning experiences that challenge and engage within a safe, supportive environment designed to prepare students to thrive and excel.

Belton School District #124 is a shining example of excellence in education, committed to providing students with well-rounded, dynamic learning experiences that prepare them for success in the real world.

We have three traditional elementaries, one STEAM academy, one upper elementary, one middle school, one high school, an educational center and an early childhood center.

We are dedicated to real-world learning through our Academies of Belton program at Belton High School. Our programs go beyond traditional classroom instruction by offering students hands-on experiences that bridge the gap between theory and practice. We partner with local businesses and organizations to teach our students practical skills and insights, which foster a deeper understanding of traditional school subjects.

Our STEAM academy offers real-world learning for our elementary learners. Designed to nurture the next generation of innovators, this school provides students with hands-on, problem-based learning and collaboration. Students learn by using critical thinking to solve problems.

Our schools are committed to character education. Many of our schools have earned the National School of Character award.

Our students are beautifully diverse, and we are looking for support staff members and teachers who reflect and celebrate our students' diversity. We want candidates who are eager to learn and help our students grow.

Nestled 20 minutes south of Kansas City, Missouri, Belton is a close community that continually supports its district, students and staff.

“Have worked in the district in the summer for a few years, teachers are always helpful, and I have gotten to learn a lot about special education from them. ”
