Execution Management Consultant Intern

“Overall, this was an awesome experience and I really enjoyed it. The role I had was a nice mix of technical and business tasks. I really enjoyed the variation in my role and that I wasn't simply doing the same thing over and over. On the tech side, one thing I did was use the SQL editor in the company's software to query customer data and do data validation. I had some SQL experience before starting the internship, but not a lot, so this was really good experience improving my SQL skills. And then on the business side, I would join customer calls with other members of my Celonis team. This was helpful to see how Celonis employees interacted with customers and also to observe common requests customers had. On one call, I even discussed with the customer something I had been working on and my findings. The other members of my team were constantly trying to find ways to get me involved and they treated me like a member of the team, not just an intern. Another aspect of the internship that I enjoyed and thought was cool was that the US and Madrid interns had several joint calls with various leaders in the company. It was interesting to hear their stories and learn more about Celonis, and I was also impressed that they were taking the time to talk to just a small group of interns. One call was with one of the CEOs, and we had plenty of time to ask him a lot of questions. The company has a good culture, and I was impressed by how many people were willing to talk to you and help you out - I didn't meet a single person who wasn't willing to help me in some way. Another pro is that if you end up working in the NYC office, it's on the 87th floor of the Freedom Tower, and the views are just incredible.”
