Community Council Health Systems provides a range of behavioral health services for abused and troubled children, youth, adults, and their families. The majority of the services are provided through outpatient clinical services, community-based behavioral health rehabilitation services, and school-based services. We provide the following treatment methods as appropriate: diagnostic and evaluation services, individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, family psychotherapy, behavior psychotherapy, crisis intervention, psychopharmacological therapy, and case management, including referrals. The Chief Medical Officer or psychiatrist assigned to a particular case supervises all outpatient work. Community Council’s primary facilities are spread over five acres in the city of Philadelphia. The main building is used for administration as well as treatment such as Targeted Case Management, Recovery Paths, and Adult Outpatient Services. The agency has approximately 400 staff members onsite and in community- or school-based locations that serve over 4,000 people each year. We are the first community-based service organization in Philadelphia to implement electronic health records (EHR). Additionally, we are one of the first agencies to use Teleservices to provide behavioral health supports via the web. Teleservices allow us to provide clinical services to populations where there is shortage of behavioral health professionals.
