we canned a feeling. not tired, not wired. a sparkling water for balance and clarity to be the you you are on your best days.

on a mission to make the world calm, cool, and collected, Recess launched its first product, a flavored seltzer water infused with hemp extract and adaptogens, last October. after the Hemp Farming Act passed in 2018, hemp (under 0.3% THC, non-psychoactive) was separated from marijuana (high THC, psychoactive). this means "hemp" is no longer a controlled substance, paving the way for hemp to become an everyday functional ingredient and sold in mass retailers nationwide.

since then, Recess has rapidly grown to a team of 40, opened their headquarters in the East Village of New York, NY and partnered with the largest beverage distributor in the country. in addition to greater New York, Recess will be launching in new markets including the Pacific, Southwest and larger Northeast in 2019.

Recess embodies their brand by inviting people daily to “take a Recess” through IRL pop-ups and events, brand partnerships, online engagements and traditional beverage distribution.
