Emporia State University is a public university in Emporia, Kansas. Established in March 1863 as the Kansas State Normal School, Emporia State is the third-oldest public university in the state of Kansas and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. ESU offers over 60 master programs from Accountancy to Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL), and was ranked #37 for Top Public Schools in the Midwest by U.S. New & World Report, 2018.
