Girl Scouts of Central Maryland

About Girl Scouts of Central Maryland

Girl Scouts build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. GSCM is committed to continuing the legacy of Girl Scouts’ founder: Juliette Gordon Low who organized the first Girl Scout troop in Savannah, Georgia on March 12, 1912; her mission was to help girls and young women realize their full potential outside of the home. Today, Girl Scouts of Central Maryland continues that legacy by ensuring that all girls –regardless of ability, ethnicity, income or circumstance—have the opportunity to develop leadership skills that allow them to make a difference in their schools, communities and the world.

One of the most powerful results of living the Girl Scout Law is the ability to exercise and recognize true leadership. Being honest and fair, courageous and strong, using resources wisely, respecting yourself and others, and making the world a better place are values that our staff and volunteers teach, model, and reinforce.

Girl Scouts of Central Maryland was established in 1962 and serves more than 25,000 girls in 2,000 troops and groups in Baltimore City, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford and Howard counties with the help of nearly 10,000 dedicated and committed adult volunteers.

Thank you for considering Girl Scouts in your job search. We are looking for people that will help us grow and bring the Girl Scout program to every girl everywhere. Focusing attention on the lives of girls throughout Central Maryland, GSCM can offer you a host of exciting, challenging and rewarding career choices.
