Good Hope Equestrian Training Center

About Good Hope Equestrian Training Center

Good Hope Equestrian Training Center (GHETC) was established with the mission of providing individuals with varying abilities and conditions with equine- assisted educational, vocational, rehabilitative and recreational/sports activities that augment their independence, employability potential, and quality of life. Using the equine as its tool and the 20-acre grounds as its classroom, GHETC offers unique equestrian programs serving more than 400 underserved South Floridians annually.
Since our organization’s inception in 1999, GHETC has developed numerous innovative equestrian programs targeting the Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. Researchers have found that equine-related activities can enhance the lives of individuals both with and without disabilities by improving their balance, flexibility, strength, and coordination, while also aiding them in gaining confidence, patience, and self-esteem.
Good Hope Equestrian Training Center is a Premier accredited facility through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship, International (PATH) and a certified provider of Agency for Persons with Disabilities. We are an established 501(3) not for profit organization and have been serving the South Florida region since January of 2000.
