I wish I had the opportunity to intern and shadow other divisions within the agency but was unable to due to time.

Resettlement and Placement Intern

What I liked
This internship gave me experience in basic office skills like filing and filling in budget reports and the like, but it also gave me a lot of hands on field experience working with participants. The work I did had direct effects on the lives of the folks we were assisting.
What I wish was different
There was a little more physical labor involved than I would have liked.
Advice
It might be tempting to organize the back room. Do not waste your time, it cannot be salvaged and you’ll end up with a bigger mess than when you started!
