About Richland Country Club

Richland Country Club is a private, member-owned Club located just 10 miles south of downtown Nashville, steeped in the history, elegance and grace of Tennessee. Nestled on 170 acres of rolling hills on historic Granny White Pike, it is a private retreat in the midst of a bustling city.

Founded in 1901, the Club bought the old Nashville Golf and Country Club’s clubhouse and land, and enlisted golf course architect Donald Ross to design an 18-hole course. In 1988, the Club relocated to it’s current site which is located on part of the core battlefield of the closing cavalry action from the 1864 Battle of Nashville. In 2018 the Club added two Civil War replica cannons on the golf course.

.In July 2017, the Club began a $20M renovation of the Clubhouse, Swimming Pool, Pool Grille, Tennis Center and the addition of a new Fitness Center. Richland’s amenities now include: an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus signature golf course (Rated Top 5 in Tennessee); a new golf simulator; newly renovated tennis facilities with 4 indoor climate-controlled courts, 6 outdoor hydrogrid courts and 2 outdoor hard courts; new resort style swimming pool complex with rock wall and sports court; a new state-of-the-art fitness facility; new childcare and teen areas; a new kitchen; and an array of new and renovated meeting rooms, banquet rooms and dining areas for all occasions.

“That it was in the location I want to relocate to after college. I learned a lot about the operations of how a business work and it was a family oriented culture.”
