The Collalillo family joined Wakefern in 1954 when Joseph A. Colalillo opened a Shop Rite in South River, NJ. Four years later the store relocated to Flemington and today is owned and operated by his son, Joe, and his wife Jeannie who also have stores in Clinton and Greenwich Township, NJ as well as Bethlehem and Yardley, Pennsylvania.
The Colalillo family has been serving the communities of Hunterdon and south Warren Counties for over 60 years. They stated with a small store in downtown Flemington with a handful of associates and have grown to 5 stores and a micro-fulfillment center and over 1500 associates. Over the years their associates, past and present, have worked hard to enable the company to grow and enrich the communities in which they serve.
