About Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture

Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture is a truly special place to work. On our 80-acre farm in Westchester/Lower Hudson Valley, our team has the opportunity to live our values of sustainability and good food, grown well every single day. Together, we work to change the way America farms and eats by training young farmers, promoting agroecology, growing food citizens, and cultivating a farm-driven cuisine.

We are all involved on the farm, no matter our role, and there are regular opportunities to engage with work across departments. The gorgeous early 20th Century stone barns that make up our offices and event spaces are iconic treasures of the region.

We take great pride in our welcoming, warm team. Our staff are encouraged to participate in the wide range of programming and training opportunities that take place here. We come together frequently for community gatherings over food and make time to share meals together in our gardens and pastures. Our team is full of caring, dedicated employees, and we look forward to welcoming new teammates who join in our mission with a commitment to change and a love of great food and farming.

“I loved the staff and the fact that everyone was incredibly dedicated to farmscape ecology. I realized that there were so many different paths that people take to arrive at their current career; Stone Barns has so many diverse perspectives. It was also amazing how many different projects that I was able to be involved with including horticulture work, soil sampling, gardening, livestock work, and foraging. ”
