Supply Chain Intern

June - August 2019 • Williamsport, PA

What I liked

My Supply Chain internship with Lycoming Engines was an eye-opening experiences and my first internship opportunity. Lycoming Engines is a manufacturing plant that manufactures aircraft engines so one of the most extraordinary aspects is seeing the raw materials assembled and it shipped out of the facility. As an intern I felt like all of my projects were meaningful and interactive.

What I wish was different

I have no regrets about the internship and I felt like Textron Systems did a great job integrating the interns together with cross-functional projects.

Advice

To future interns, take advantage of the fact that Lycoming Engines is a smaller plant and network with as much people as you can. Whether its a line-worker who has 40+ years of experience, or a VP, the opportunities to network and gain valuable advice is there.
