Windsor Mountain Summer Camp

About Windsor Mountain Summer Camp

Windsor Mountain is a warm camp community that strives to bring out the best in children. We help them develop self-understanding and independence, foster friendships, try new things, cultivate skills, all while living in a community of diverse cultures and experiences.

At Windsor Mountain you will get the freedom to teach whatever classes you choose within and outside your department and the freedom to teach your own way using your own personal style. In the living unit you can decorate however you like, you can run special activities with your dorm or cabin, you can think outside the box and really make the camp experience special for the campers.

At Windsor Mountain we don't tell our staff how to do their job, we tell them what needs to be done and offer support and guidance as the counselors use their own skills and interest to deliver a wonderful experience for the campers. As a pioneer of experiential learning, we believe that the best learning is done through experience, trying an activity and learning from your mistakes. Also, as the first international summer camp affiliated with the United Nations, we take special care to design programs that open students’ eyes to new cultures, people, ideas and situations. During our long history, our students and staff have represented all 50 states and over 60 countries.

At Windsor Mountain we we live together, eat together, work hard and play hard together to form a special tight knit community. If you want to feel part of something bigger than yourself, have a summer of fun and make a difference in a child’s life then this is the right place for you.

“Working outside with children all summer was great as well as the freedom and support available to create some new and exciting programming. I also really loved working with the wide range of other people on staff (about half were international)!”
