I plan on getting my CPA. In order to get your license, I know that you have to be working under a CPA for a specified amount of time. Does that mean I have to work at a CPA firm, or can I work in any industry under a person who has a CPA, and still get my license?
You can work under any CPA to obtain a Type G license. However, in order to obtain a Type A license, you need to have 500 hours of audit experience.Type G license is for general accounting.Type A license is for attestation + general accounting.
