What I liked

The people in my department , who were very welcoming and encouraging.

What I wish was different

I wish it were slightly longer, and that our department had not experienced as many technical difficulties throughout my internship which impeded our work.

Advice

Professionalism must be mixed with amicability; without one or the other, you are not taken seriously or not privy to insider information, which becomes very clear when you work in an office and factory setting. The mix of both helps create a system for success.

Lab Technician

What I liked

Learning how the pharmaceutical industry works, and what Quality Control does. I liked learning new lab techniques, and experiments done on the products made.

What I wish was different

That it was research based, and not just testing to see if the products were safe for consumption.

Advice

I would say there was a lot of information that was given to me from this experience, but that there is so much more that the manufacturing world isn't the best part of industry. Make sure you really want to perform quality control before you go into it.
