Allen Park Public Schools

About Allen Park Public Schools

The Allen Park Public Schools is comprised of three elementary schools, one middle school, one high school, and one alternative high school. The District responds to a community need for early childhood education and child care to meet the needs of working parents by providing before- and after-school child care (latchkey), a preschool program, extended care, and summer day camp. Students who require special services are given individual instruction and attention through guidance and counseling programs, school social worker assistance, summer school and homebound, speech and language services, 504 plans, and other special education services.

Because of the close-knit nature of the community, parents are very interested and very involved in what is taking place in the schools. Parents demonstrate their support through positive communication with teachers in a wide variety of school events. This involvement by parents, as well as staff, students, the Board of Education, and the entire community, helps make the Allen Park Public Schools an excellent place to learn, and the city of Allen Park an outstanding place to work and live.
