What I liked

There is a great historical atmosphere at the American West heritage Center. It almost feels like home in a strange kind of way. I almost always arrived with a feeling of excitement for the day and always left with a great feeling of accomplishment.

What I wish was different

My only regret is that they can't offer me a job with the pay and benefits I need for my family.

Advice

This is a great place to gain meaningful experience as well as a college job, but there is not a lot of room for growth with in the American West Heritage Center. So be prepared to find something else to move onto when you finish school.

What I wish was different

Advice

Be yourself. Also, don't be afraid of going out and doing something you want to do but are worried you'll be judged for. Just do it, or else you will always regret it.

Blacksmith and Tour Guide

What I liked

I really enjoyed the atmosphere there, it was really amazing to get away from modern life.

What I wish was different

I wish the summer had not been as hot, but I can't really do anything about that.

Advice

If you have a weird skill, leverage that for all it's worth. I never thought that my hobby would ever turn in to a job but it did.
