I enjoyed the freedom to do my own project, and a clear schedule of expectations.

I wish I had more time to work and I wish I'd had access to more materials.

To never be afraid to ask for help if you need it. There are whole support networks of people who genuinely want you to succeed.

What I liked

I was able to attain valuable industry knowledge while also building my own personal skills that are applicable in many different facets within marketing and advertising. My coworkers were great about teaching me how to use and utilize different Adobe programs as well as what general industry trends were going on at the time. They helped build my resumé and prepare for interviews/job search.

What I wish was different

At times I had very little to do, which would result in boredom. That's just the summer though, once the school year hits, it picks up quite a bit. I would have liked some additional training with various Adobe programs. I did have some training, I just think more would have been beneficial.

Advice

It is a great way to gain some experience within the marketing field and it's a wonderful way to gain industry knowledge. It also really helped me find what in particular I like about marketing, and what I don't like.

I liked the continuous cycle of learning new things while completing tasks and working independently.

What I wish was different

I wish the location was closer to my home, but it is on my college campus, which is more convenient for me during the school year.

Take initiative to network and take on as many projects as you can to make the most out of your experience.
