Fantastic opportunity to use my degree in my field! I received lots of support from the hotel owner and my front desk team to acclimate and learn how to use my skills outside of the classrom.
What I wish was different
I wish I would not have had to figure out working in hospitality during a pandemic, but I'm still grateful for what I've been learning.
Advice
The first job in your field that you get after graduating will be difficult and confusing, but be willing to ask questions and give yourself permission to make mistakes. Make the most of the experience!
