I learned about all of the aspects of the organization from managing inventory of an office to organizing data collection from the field. I was also able to expanding my knowledge in science and educating the public. I loved the opportunity to work with schools around the city and be out in the field (on the water) on most days.
What I wish was different
I wish I was able to learn more about how other organizations are coming together with the Billion Oyster Project to support the cause of restoring oysters and improving the environment.
Advice
Take a chance and you'll be surprised by the wonderful things you can find. Teach younger generations the importance of protecting our environment.
