Bio-Therapeutic

Finance Intern

March - August 2023 • Seattle, WA

What I liked

The up-close view of what it takes to run a small business is one of the many unique pros of this job. I had high flexibility in my focus areas, which exposed me to many departments that let me experiment with what type of work I enjoyed. The workplace environment is collaborative and encourages questions. My supervisors were patient, kind, and excited to help. Despite his busy schedule, the president of the company consistently made time to meet with me, offering advice and addressing my questions. This commitment exemplifies the company's emphasis on humility and the nurturing of young professionals.

What I wish was different

I believe integrating more project work into my routine tasks would have been beneficial. However, I understand that this might be a side that develops with experience. On a positive note, the more repetitive tasks did provide me with an opportunity to develop productivity strategies and enhance certain software skills.

Accounting and Sales Analyst Intern

May - August 2021 • Seattle, WA

What I liked

Great company culture with very engaging and respectful employees who take the time to know you and are incredibly kind.

What I wish was different

Slightly better structure where you would spend more time on the role you applied for. The small nature of the company means that you will be working in other departments some of the time as well.

Advice

Definitely great if you want to know how small businesses scale and how they manage customers.
