Global Finance Intern

May - August 2019 • Birmingham, AL

What I liked

The culture of the company was great. They did a fantastic job of making me feel as if I had been at the company for years. All of the members of the finance department were always willing to help me out with questions I had, allowing me to learn the day to day functions quickly.

What I wish was different

I wish that I had been surrounded by a few more people my age.

Advice

I definitely recommend the experience to anyone who has the ability to partake. If I were to offer one piece of advice, I'd say that showing up to any internship with a good attitude is key. You have to be willing to work at 110%, as when you're part of a team, you have other other people relying on you too.

Research and Development Engineering Co-Op

January 2018 • Hoover, AL

What I liked

The research and development team treated me just like another team member, providing me with projects and tasks that they themselves would perform. I got to learn so much about the pivotal points in product development and sustainment, including quality, regulatory, marketing, and manufacturing requirements. All of the co-workers are absolutely AMAZING and love to see you prosper on the team; great place to work at any position! I felt trusted and that my work contributed to the company's success.

What I wish was different

Nothing; the experience was absolutely rewarding and amazing.

Advice

Always be enthusiastic and ready to learn; nobody knows everything and the team does not expect you to! Own up to mistakes and be observant and meticulous in your work.
