I liked the satisfaction of feeling like I was actively contributing to the company with the work I was doing. I also really enjoyed the company and my coworkers.
What I wish was different
Since I was the first intern in this position, I was learning as my manager was as well. I would suggest to have a little more structure with how the internship will go and implement more challenging work.
Advice
Have an open mind and take in as much as you can during your internship.

Construction Estimating Intern

What I liked
I enjoyed the people I worked with and learned a lot from the senior estimators. I was included in meetings which really helped me to learn, as well as I helped deliver final products that we had been working on for weeks.
What I wish was different
I wish I could have been put through a more rigorous training procedure so that I could have learned even more. I was taught the basics and then figured things out on my own from there.
Advice
Go into the job or internship with a good attitude and it will reflect in your work, and make you feel accomplished about the experience all around.
