What I liked

I loved working remotely, getting paid to attend baseball games and work with the players and coaches beforehand. My boss gave me plenty of freedom with hours, time off, etc. while still holding me accountable and making sure I was doing my job. Her hands-off management style made me feel like I had something to prove, and was competing with myself each week to do a better and better job.

What I wish was different

This was the first time the company had done a summer internship, so there was a lot of uncertainty on what the job would entail (for both myself and my boss). Essentially I didn't know what to expect going into the internship and had to quickly adapt to what needed to be done.

Advice

Plan your week ahead of time. I was the only representative of the company on the Cape, and had to deal with a lot of different people on the ground. I was traveling to 2-3 different games each day, and it would have been very difficult if I did not create some form of structure for myself.
