I like the topics I work on. Geotechnical engineering with microbiology has been exciting and a challenge all in one.
What I wish was different
I wouldn't change anything about my experience with research, it lead me to choose grad school.
Advice
Take every opportunity that's put in front of you, even if you think it's out of your depth just do it.

What I liked
I liked that I got to go through the entire engineering process from designing to manufacturing to testing. I also really enjoyed the team I was with.
What I wish was different
I wish that I had talked to more people in the lab and ask them to train me on everything they knew so I could be a more well rounded researcher.
Advice
I would suggest that students going into undergraduate research study material related to their work to get a better understanding of the science and engineering behind it.
