I loved the people that I met. It was such a cool experience to be in a kitchen setting and learn the hospitality business.
What I wish was different
I wish this internship could have been more challenging at times. I also wish there was an overarching project I worked towards throughout the duration of my internship.
Advice
Go in with an open mind, there is so much you can learn from the very diverse people within Bon Appetit.

Freedom to control hours and to create a plan that worked for me. we were also able to explore agriculture in the surrounding area.

A lot of days it may seem like there is not much to do, but the reality is that there is always something that can be done.

What I liked
Loved the experience I got with food, loved that the internship is so learning-focused... their goal was to teach us as much as they could, rather than get as much work/labor out of us as possible, like most jobs. You get such great connections throughout your time here, too!
What I wish was different
Wish I were able to experience not just their culinary internship, but also their pastry internship!
Advice
Reach out to the more experienced workers around you, and your peers! Reach out, speak up and ask questions!! That's the only way you'll learn what you want to learn, and experience what you hope to!
