For 25 years, BTM has met the mentoring needs of boys, ages 12-17, throughout San Diego County by connecting them to local communities of peers and trained, caring mentors. Our in-school and virtual group mentoring circles provide male teens a safe place to belong and express their feelings and thoughts while overcoming trauma. Our 125 mentors unselfishly give their time and talent, providing a critical role in the success and growth of our program. Our successful group mentoring model’s foundation uses best practices to serve a diverse population, connecting boys with role models to engage young men through positive communication and healthy behaviors. BTM’s program empowers young men to develop meaningful social and emotional connections, improve their decision-making and coping skills, and set attainable academic and personal goals.
