Camp Juliette Low

About Camp Juliette Low

Camp Juliette Low offers fun, resume-building job opportunities for women who love the outdoors! You'll manage, lead, create and problem-solve. Spend your summer in the North Georgia mountains, making friends and making a difference!

Camp Juliette Low is an overnight camp for girls that celebrates outdoor living and recreation through fun and instructional programs like archery, horseback riding, canoeing, ropes course, climbing wall, camp-outs, fire building, hiking and backpacking. CJL campers and staff live in four-person platform tents, where they can enjoy the outdoors, connect with nature, grow in confidence and independence, and form life-long friendships. Our experienced counselors provide a safe, nurturing, inclusive environment for girls to grow and thrive.

Camp Juliette Low is located on Lookout Mountain in northwest Georgia, and was founded in 1922 by Juliette Gordon Low, founder of the Girl Scouts. Today, CJL operates independently from the Girl Scouts while continuing to honor its original mission: to provide girls with exciting, outdoor experiences that foster self-confidence, promote teamwork, encourage independence, and develop leadership skills.

Assistant Horseback Director

“This camp is all about teaching girls independence, so it was so fun to teach them and watch them improve over the session. This job gave me good leadership experience because I had to organize and teach classes, I honed my skills of thinking quick on my feet, I got good veterinary experience since I also worked with horses and I am pre-vet, I worked with so many great people, and more.”
