What I liked

Being a STEM Instructor was a thrilling opportunity to teach a younger generation of students. Assigned a wonderful group of 7-8th grade girls, I got to research different topics for lesson plans and share my knowledge with these girls. Alongside building skills, we also bonded with one another and had a fantastic summer.

What I wish was different

I wish I could have spent more time in this internship. The 4-5 weeks I worked were fantastic and I was sad when the summer ended.

Advice

I found that it was helpful for me to spend time with the students, making sure to schedule time for games and breaks. This not only allowed students to bond, but also increased focus during our STEM projects.
