Soccer coach

June - July 2023 • Atlanta, GA

What I liked

I liked the people and the work environment. There were good, reliable, friendly coworkers, available to talk if any issues were present and ready to fix any concern. It was a good internship since it helped grow my interpersonal and professional skill, like time management, communication and customer relationships.

What I wish was different

The logistics communication, because sometimes it arrived late and it was confusing.

Advice

Prepare to travel around the US to know beautiful host families and lots of coaches from around the world. Be friendly and ready to make new connections, they will help you expand and improve your network.

What I liked

I loved being able to travel around the Northwest United States and coach kids in my favorite sport. Staying with families of the campers and meeting all the new kids every week was so fun.

What I wish was different

I wish that certain aspects of the travel were different. The company was trying to reorganize itself due to Covid so the hotels were chosen quickly and weren't always the best.

Advice

If you have to opportunity, I would say do it. The pay could be better, but it is an experience like few others.
