It gave me an idea of what working on communications and events is actually like, since I've been interested in it but hadn't experienced it, and also what the nonprofit world is like.
What I wish was different
I wish I'd had more to do, particularly at the beginning. I can't really blame them though, because my boss started the same day I did, and there were other transitions going on in the office as well.
Advice
Like most things in life, your experience is what you make it! Try to make even the most mundane things into a learning experience.
