What I wish was different

I wish that training would have been a little more in depth and hands on.

Advice

I would say to be open to different people and different ideas. You don't always have to agree with everything but you can respect others and their opinions.

Seasonal Sales Associate

May - August 2018 • Mercedes, TX

What I liked

I loved how accepting everyone was. It was my first ever job and it was amazing. I had a really great time. I was able to work on my teamwork skills, as well as my communication skills. I would always look forward to coming in.

What I wish was different

The only thing I wish was different was the hourly wage. I think that with the amount of work that going into running a retail place, the associates should get payed a little more.

Advice

I'd say take advantage of any job that will help you improve the skills that any employer would look for. The job one applies for doesn't always have to match whatever it is you studying. My major and job have nothing to do with each other, but I still gained some incredible experience and skills.
