I had so much responsibility. I was the only designer on board. This totally leveraged me for a lucrative job after graduation. They expected a lot out of me, and I wouldn't have had it any other way. It is a small company that you can make an impact in as an intern. You will meet everyone who works there.
This company is respectful of your time. They always allowed me to increase my paid hours to help the product team meet our goals. They also give sick days and paid vacation days. One of the best parts is the office. It's at Navy Pier.
What I wish was different
There were times I didn't know who to turn to for help because I was the only designer on my team. This allowed me to grow by figuring out the answers on my own.
Advice
Be ready to contribute, speak the developer's language, and thoughtfully explain design choices.
