What I liked

Even though it's not totally the type of environment I want to work in once I graduate, the experience was really educational and was a great opportunity. I learned a lot about how to apply the PR skills i know to a local yet very elite group of people and company.

What I wish was different

It could have been a bit more organized.

Advice

Keep an open mind with every internship! At DePaul, we are really lucky to be able to try out so many different opportunities in the filed we're studying. Every experience adds to our skills.

What I liked

It's a private club environment, which means you're really supposed to get to know the members. This leads to more personalized relationships and networking.

What I wish was different

Summer is the busy season which means seasonal staff. For those of us who had been there for a longer amount of time, training and trying to keep up with the insane environment that regattas bring was a bit of a challenge.

Advice

This is a very fast paced environment at times! Conduct yourself professionally, but make sure you are open to making members feel at home. This is their club and the more they feel you care about catering to them, the better you will get along.
