What I liked

I liked the flexibility of the job. Working for Parks and Recreation was really fun and allowed for a lot of creativity. It is a great job if you like working in a child care setting and if you like having a chance to have fun, be creative, and just play.

I loved the freedom to plan my own lessons and teach the kids how I wanted to teach them. As long as I was doing a good job I was free to teach how I wanted

What I liked

I liked the freedom that I had in this job to run practices how I thought that they should be run. I liked how I had the chance to step up and be more of a leader at the pool I worked at as well as training my assistants.

Don't be afraid to step up and go out of your comfort zone. You will grow more than you ever thought you would.

What I liked

I loved the people I worked for and the experience I received while working there. Each person in the PIO Department has their speciality and you were able to learn as much as you wanted.

What I wish was different

I wish I was a little busier. Some days in summer are a little slow.

Advice

Never underestimate what you can do and don’t limit yourself to one area. I loved learning about web, writing, event planning, social media, everything. Really embrace that environment.
