Economic Development Intern

What I liked

I enjoyed that my supervisor was very helpful whenever I had questions about the projects and responsibilities I had. I got to work on a lot of different projects that helped me have a better understanding of what types of programs are offered in the city government. My department is very friendly.

What I wish was different

I wish I had more opportunities for community engagement, but the scheduling conflicted for me.

Advice

It is up to you how much you want to take away from this internship — it is very easy to learn a lot from very smart and passionate people!

What I liked

I really enjoyed working and bonding with my coworkers while managing different projects. They were wonderful people and I had two great supervisors who helped me a lot.

What I wish was different

It was a great experience, but it would have been cool if I had taken more time to explore and shadow different areas in the technology department.
