This was a wonderful environment where I could clearly see the difference I was making, and, frankly, I had fun! I learned a great deal and was able to practice skills that I have been able to carry over to other areas in my life and have given me an edge in my field. My coworkers were friendly, I felt as though the work that I was doing mattered, and the schedule was more flexible than expected.
What I wish was different
As summer is not the CIP's busiest season, there was some time where I had little to do.
Advice
The more open minded and willing to try new activities one is, the more they will get out of the experience.
