Danone North America

Marketing E-commerce Categories Intern

June - August 2022 • White Plains, NY

What I liked

I loved my internship at Danone. I think it is one of the best CPG companies to work for. You can tell being in the workplace people really value the work they produce and the environment and company culture is unmatched! I loved being in a class of interns and we had projects over the summer that we got got work cross functionally with each other. Most people had one big project to work on during the summer but I had 5 smaller projects in e-commerce that had me working with Profitero data and looking at Danone’s online digital shelf of products in all retailers. I liked all their products and the loaded fridges are a nice bonus!

What I wish was different

Wish it had been longer!

Advice

If you are considering applying send it on through! Show enthusiasm and be prepared to absorb all the information Danone has to offer during the internship.

Product Development Intern

June - August 2022 • Louisville, CO

What I liked

Danone North America has a wonderful workplace environment that allowed for so much growth, even on an intern level. I was responsible for balancing several projects at once, and I was able to provide a lot of meaningful contributions to the company. My role was extremely hands-on, and allowed me to be creative and have fun while at work. The internship program at Danone was run super well, with lots of events and professional sessions for all of the interns. Everyone that I spoke with was always very helpful and kind. Danone highly values its employees and supports everyone's individual health and work-life balance. The office in Louisville was such a cool and fun place to be, with lots of snacks! The location in Louisville is the perfect place to be in Colorado.

What I wish was different

I wish that there would have been more intern events focused on creating a special cohort for us. We had lots of time to engage and work with one another - which was amazing! - but I wish that there was more focus on unifying us as a group.

Advice

From this experience, my advice would be to always keep an open mind. Even if you are assigned a project or task that you may not know anything about or may not be particularly fond of, it is important to keep an open mind to tackle these tasks, you never know what you are going to learn!

Supply Chain Finance Intern

May - August 2019 • Broomfield, CO

What I liked

My ability to ask questions to any employee was something that made my experience unforgettable. I worked directly with Directors, VP's and even met the CEO of the North America business unit. I didn't ever feel just like an intern.

What I wish was different

I wish that the interns I worked with didn't have to leave after the 3 months. I loved working with them and made great relationships.

Advice

First, ask questions. Second, meet as many people as you can. Lastly, work hard. Your superiors will notice if you want to learn and they will reward you for that. Don't be afraid to ask for what you want, the worst they can say is no.
