Start looking for summer internships early, and apply for a large number of internships. Don't wait until the end of the school year!

The department I worked in. I feel like my skills were not put to the best use.

Advice

The opportunity is what you make of it. Plenty of opportunities to learn and enrich yourself in different ways. Multidisciplinary cooperation allows for interns to work with a variety of DC Water professionals who are always willing to go more in depth about what they do.
