Events Intern

August 2020 • Royal Oak, MI

What I liked

I had a wonderful experience working for the Detroit Zoo. I worked closely with the Events Coordinator who is awesome, among other team members! I especially liked their trust and confidence they had in me. The last week of the internship I had the awesome opportunity of running 3 events on my own, so that was a great experience.

I loved interacting with people from all around the world and shaping their experience at the Zoo.

What I wish was different

I would not change a thing about my summer. I loved every part of my job and cannot wait to return in the spring.

I suggest everyone get a job in an area they love. Even if they do not intend to stay with that job forever, they will enjoy their time there much more if they stick to what they love.
