The DRC’s mission is to provide respectful, responsible and effective community-based solutions to help individuals and families emerge from homelessness as productive, healthy people.
The DRC envisions an end to homelessness achieved through investments that make permanent shelter a reality for all who need it.
The DRC works within the Housing First model, a homeless assistance approach that prioritizes providing permanent housing to people experiencing homelessness, thus ending their homelessness and serving as a platform from which they can pursue personal goals and improve their quality of life.
