Bank Teller

June 2018 • Weymouth, MA

What I liked

Everyone around me, higher level employees and managers were all very approachable and open. They helped me adjust to the job whenever I needed help. The job also stayed very open and allowed me to stay connected to the company.

What I wish was different

There was one topic we covered in training that the branch didn't comply to so I think there could have been a little more communication company-wide that would have allowed every branch to be on the same page.

Advice

When doing something as important as working directly with people's money, don't be afraid to ask questions to make sure everything is done correctly. Always keep a cool head, even when your patrons don't, because you staying calm and not making mistakes is more important in the long run, but always be polite.

Bank Teller

May - August 2018 • Beverly, MA

What I liked

I liked the people. I have worked here before and they're almost like family to me! Very close friends now. I loved the work environment (the office) and meeting and interacting with people every day.

What I wish was different

I wish I had been paid more. I wish I had more morning type hours as opposed to extending into the afternoon.

Advice

Have good attention to detail. Slight mistakes can mean loss of money for the bank which you are always responsible for!
