Apply to a variety of organizations even if the position is not exactly wht you're looking for. I applied to a different position at this company than I got hired for.

What I liked
I was part of the facility department. I liked being able to work with a verity of people. I also had an opportunity to learn about the working of a facilities department.
What I wish was different
I really enjoyed this job. It would have been good if there was growth in that position. I would have stayed longer.
Advice
Be open to learning many different area from receptionist responsibilities to Maintenance duties.
