The culture is incredible, everyone is very nice and friendly. Interns are awlays welcomed to particpate large conferences and key meetings. At Generali, I always feel valued for my work and ideas. I really love being able to immerse myself in learning new things while also building on existing skill sets. I have had the opportunity to work on various meaningful projects and it is the ideal blend of collaborative and independent work.
What I wish was different
I wish I had the chance to experience some of the conferences and meetings in person.
Advice
Everyone is extremely helpful so take advantage of your network. Don't be afraid to ask questions or for help, especially in the beginning.

What I liked
Generali was an amazing opportunity to get to know what it's like working in a corporate environment. They Give great training on the different software companies use to communicate and organize data like Teams, Outlook, Laserfiche, Salesforce, and excel. It is also a great opportunity to learn more about the insurance industry as a whole.
What I wish was different
Generali has many events and conferences and I wish I could have attended some of them in person.
Advice
This job is all about organization and time management. Make sure to have a todo list written down or use an excel sheet to keep track.

What I liked
I enjoyed building on my Excel skills and being introduced to a wide variety of other technical programs like Outlook, Laserfiche, and other internal BI. GEB hosts an amazing workforce that is both intelligent and cooperative here in the U.S. and abroad. My favorite aspect of GEB is the connections I have made with my colleagues as they are all very kind and help facilitate a learning environment.
What I wish was different
I wish I could have had the GEB experience in person in order to get to know everyone better.
Advice
Insurance is oceans wide, inches deep. It may seem like a lot of jargon at first, but understanding vocabulary is half of the job. It all makes sense in time!

What I liked
The managers who are experts in their jobs, look forward to my help- that feels very good and validated. I am learning how important communication between the staff is. I also absolutely love how helpful everyone is!

Maybe not be remote but I still like it.
Advice
Be open to learn all things in the beginning even those which do not look like you will work on. You never know when your knowledge would be helpful.

What I liked
GEB's Team is well-trained and very supportive for interns. It supports collaboration and working with multiple teams within the organization. I really liked and enjoyed having supportive colleagues as I was learning the business.
What I wish was different
I do not a lot of things that needs to be changed. I found myself going out to get lunch. It would be great if GEB would facilitate lunch for its employees.
Advice
I would recommend everyone to try to get this experience as it would give interns a lot of exposure in a short time.
