I enjoyed the flexibility I had with my schedule. It was neat that the Heartland Film Team encouraged me to attend all of their daily staff meetings. This allowed me to fully experience the process of putting on a successful film festival from all angles, especially during a pandemic!
What I wish was different
I wish I was able to work with the team in-office, but due to Covid-19 it was safer to work virtually.
Advice
I didn’t think I would be given this internship because I wasn’t majoring in film. I was wrong. Even if you don’t fit all the listed requirements, apply anyways! If you’re interested in a company, show them that!
