The people I interned for and how I was able to also get shadowing hours with an occupational therapist to use for occupational therapy school. I'm able to interact with kids all day and be able to talk to some parents about their child. I have such a good relationship with all of the therapists and have enjoyed every moment of my internship.
What I wish was different
I can't think of anything that I wished would be different about this internship.
Advice
Make sure you have things to do because there are times where it is slow and you can get bored after awhile. I would also understand that this is client based and you are following the therapist lead and if they don't feel comfortable with you helping out with a certain client not to put it against you. You are also not getting paid so make sure you have your semester schedule planned out prior to starting, if you have to work as well as intern.
