I thoroughly enjoyed the flexibility of the internship as well as the amount of educational programming there was for the interns. I was able to learn a lot, from a lot of different areas, and explore my interests.
What I wish was different
As I am sure many would agree, it would have been nicer to have an experience such as this one not during a pandemic, but the pandemic did shed an interesting light on the experience in healthcare.
Advice
I would advise you to be eager to learn from experienced personnel and to be willing to go out of your comfort zone. You will have many opportunities to explore, and I recommend that you take advantage of every one.

What I liked
Everyone was very pleasant and I really enjoyed the atmosphere Hendricks had. I also got to see every unit at the hospital and shadow nurses, doctors, and surgeons.
What I wish was different
I was very pleased with my experience.
Advice
Try to work with Yvonne Cullpepper and Julie Seers, they were amazing!

I liked the variety of tasks I had to accomplish during my time there.

I feel like I lacked a strict agenda, which led me to be less productive during certain times.
Advice
Working in health care is a special opportunity that I think everyone who has interest should try. There's nothing like being in the position to help other people.
