What I wish was different
Working with people can be as difficult as it is rewarding, especially when people complain just to get something free from your hotel (wether that be complimentary snacks or complimentary stays). Training can also be frustrating, and the shifts become long, especially if it's slow, since you're not allowed to be on your phone or have a book or anything along those lines (you have to always appear attentive in case a guest does come up to the front desk).
