I liked the environment. I like fast paced jobs. It was also great to work with excited and eager co-workers.

What I wish was different

I wish the work load given to an individual would decrease so that the quality of the work can increase.

Advice

My advice would be to listen to the managers but also be able to find a way to the job that works for you.

What I liked

I am currently still partaking in my internship. I enjoy the fact that I am getting the experience of being a manager while I am still in school. There have been a lot of connections that I have made while working at Hollister already.

What I wish was different

The only thing that I wish would be different is my hours. I am working 32 hours a week and it is a challenge sometimes with school, but I am making it work!

Advice

Some advice that I would like to share is to give every opportunity that is presented to you, give it a chance. Everything gets worse before it gets better, but it is worth it to give everything a shot because no one knows where a specific job, person, company, etc. could get you.

What I liked

The atmosphere was extremely good, and I really worked well with all my co-workers. My role was to interact with customers, re-stocking, cashiering and make sure the floor and decorations looked aesthetic. These are all things that I enjoy doing and I felt comfortable carrying out tasks.

What I wish was different

I wish that I would've been paid more for some of the work that I did. There were times that I had to stay until almost 1am to prepare the store for the next day. I would've liked if this was considered "overtime" and I could have been compensated as such.

Advice

One important thing to be successful in this job is your ability to interact with customers and create a nice environment for the store. I always made sure to greet customers with a smile and although there can be rude customers, It's always better to remember the phrase "the customer is always right." It never hurts to be kind and welcoming to all.

I like the environment everyone in the management team is really helpful they want you to understand how to do your job and is very understanding that it can be hard and do the best to teach and support you

What I wish was different

That I went and applied sooner then I would have had a year experience and able to take the promotion to a higher position

Advice

That a job interview are scary but if you prepare for it even if you're the least qualified if you be yourself and be professional you can get any job you set your mind to I didn’t think I would fit the model of hollister but here I am
