Homestead Hospice

Office Volunteer

April 2019 • Rexburg, ID

What I liked

Seeing how the administration within a Health Setting carried out its day to day tasks.

What I wish was different

I wish I could have been more often to be able to continue tasks and move on to more.

Advice

Talk to the workers about their experience in the work place. You'll learn a lot and hear how day to day life at work is like.

Volunteer Coordinator

June 2019 • Myrtle Beach, SC

What I liked

Doing this got me out of my comfort zone. I was never the best at talking to people but having to conduct interviews helped me to come out of my shell a little bit. I also was able to get more familiar with different medical protocols such as how to report injuries or falls within a home healthcare agency.

What I wish was different

Honestly nothing. It was and is a great place to work and was such a great experience.

Advice

Even if you do not think that you can handle it, just try. You might end up surprising yourself.
